Cocoa Banana Strawberry Smoothie

This Cocoa Banana Strawberry Smoothie makes the perfect recovery smoothie after a training session. It combines carbohydrates for refuelling, protein for muscle tissue repair and nutrient rich fruits and cocoa which help reduce inflammation from exercise. WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 1.5 cups 0-2% cow milk

  • 1 banana

  • 3/4 cup strawberries

  • 1 heaped tsp honey

  • 1 heaped tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

NUTRITION INFORMATION - MAKES 1 SERVING

Per serving: 340 calories, 60g carbohydrate (5g fibre), 15g protein, 8g fat. 

Tips

  1. To boost protein, you can add 1/4-1/2 cup greek yogurt

  2. For a lower carbohydrate alternative, you can skip the honey, and/or use 1/2 banana.
